Councilmember Mike A. Bozarth was elected to the 3rd District City Council position April 4, 2006.

He is editor and publisher of the weekly "Saint Joseph Telegraph" and has written editorial columns for the paper since 1993. He also owns rental houses. For 21 years he owned small businesses including the Bonus Isle Service Station at 2624 Messanie and later Bozarth Texaco at 13th & Frederick. He also spent 8 years in business management including Speedy's, Sac and Fox Truck Stop and the Deluxe Truck Stop.

Councilmember Bozarth is chairperson of the Landfill and Water Pollution Control Committees and also serves on the committes of Parks & Recreation and Community Development.
