Hours of operation at the Health Department are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Clinic is closed from 12 pm to 1 pm. Vital records for processing birth and death certificates is open until 4:30 pm.

If you have individual questions about HIV/AIDS and your personal risks for sexually transmitted diseases, need printed information on sexually transmitted diseases or wish to schedule a presentation for your group, need to know how to get tested for these diseases or want to get involved in HIV/STD prevention, please call the Health Educator at (816) 271-4659. In order to accommodate the expanding needs of our clients, WIC is converting from a walk-in clinic to appointments only. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Certifications and Recertifications are scheduled by appointment only Monday through Friday. Checks are schedules Monday through Friday by appointment only. Participants do not have to be a Buchanan County resident to receive WIC services from our agency at Patee Market, 904 South 10th Street. Interpreting services are available, please request when scheduling appointment.

Clinic, WIC, Community Health Services, HIV/STD testing and case management, pregnancy testing, TB testing, and lead poison testing and case management are located on the 1st floor, to the right as you enter the building. Environmental services, administrative offices and vital records are on the 2nd floor, to the left as you exit the elevator.

From Highway 36, take the 10th Street exit. 10th is a one way street, going North. The Health Department is at 904 South 10th, on the left between Mitchell and Messanie.

From the east, take either Messanie west to 9th (one way south) or Mitchell west to 10th (one way north) to Olive. The building is between Olive and Lafayette.

From the north, including downtown or City Hall, take 9th Street to Olive, turn east (left) to get to the parking lot.

From the north (out of town), take 229 south to the downtown exit (Edmond) to 9th Street to Olive, turn east (left) to get to the parking lot.

From the south (out of town), take I-29 north to 36 west and take the 10th Street exit. 10th is a one way street, going North. The Health Department is at 904 South 10th, on the left between Mitchell and Messanie.
