Remington Nature Center
Friday Fish Feeding and Tortoise Time: 10:30am-11:30am, Friday, October 19, 2018 at Remington Nature Center:
Join staff at the Remington Nature Center in worm cutting for the aquarium fish. Kids can cut up worms for the fish at 10:30am, and then watch as Nature Center staff feeds the fish their weekly diet of worms, corn, peas, and minnows. All kids will receive a fish feeding sticker badge. 

At 11am, join Nature Center Naturalist Shelly Cox for 'Tortoise Time!' Meet three rescued tortoises, and watch as she gives them their breakfast. This event will occur at 11am, after fish feeding. 

ALL EVENTS WILL BE INSIDE! 

In addition to Fish Feeding and Tortoise Time, guests can tour the Nature Center, and kids can also participate in the monthly indoor scavenger hunt. Find all 12 hidden pumpkins and win a small prize. 

THE FIRST 15 FAMILIES WHO COME IN ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19TH WILL ALSO RECEIVE A COMPLIMENTARY PUMPKIN CARVING KIT! 

10am-Remington Nature Center opens for business
10:30am-Fish Feeding 
11 am-Tortoise Time
Monthly scavenger hunts available anytime after 10am!

All activities are included in the admission price. ($4 for adults, $3 for seniors 60 years and older, and $2 for youth ages 4-15. Children three and younger are no charge.)

Monthly Scavenger Hunt
Every month, twelve items will be hidden indoors, throughout the nature center. Kids and families can do the scavenger hunt anytime during operational hours. All you have to do is inquire at the front desk and we'll give you a clipboard so you can write down where you find the items. Once they have been found, kids will get a sticker, temporary tattoo, and a special small prize. Hidden items and prizes change every month!

Recreation Education
