Fish Feeding Frenzy
EVERY Friday, 10:30am
Come help us cut worms to feed the Missouri River fish who live in our 7,000 gallon aquarium, then watch as our staff feeds them. The fish's diet consists of minnows, worms, corn, and peas. Each child will receive a special Fish Feeding sticker.
Fall Mushroom Hunting
Tuesday, October 18, 7-8pm
Join us for a presentation on mushrooms available in autumn and how to find them. You will also learn about the best scouting techniques for finding spring morels.
Girl and Boy Scout Badge Day
Saturday, October 22
Christmas comes early to the Remington Nature Center! Both boy and girl scouts of all ages can earn a unique Remington Nature Center badge by completing various activities at the Remington Nature Center. You do not have to be a scout to participate; families are welcome to take part, as well.
Finger Puppet Ghosts
Saturday, October 29, 1pm-3pm
Right before Halloween, make a spooky but oh-so-cute ghost.
Fingerprint Snowmen
Saturday, November 26, 1pm-3pm
Create adorable snowmen using your very own fingerprints.
Sun Catcher Ornaments
Saturday, December 17, 1pm-3pm
Just before Christmas, make a beautiful sun catcher ornament for the holidays.

Senior Crafts

The Remington Nature Center is offering summer craft sessions for Seniors!  
Sessions will be held in our lovely concession area with great views of the river as well as an outside deck. Drop in any time between 12pm–2pm on scheduled Tuesdays!  Bring your friends, bring lunch if you’d like and come have some creative fun. Craft sessions are included with regular Senior (60+) admission ($2). Nature Education Programs
Nature Programs presented by Shelly Cox - Naturalist, Remington Nature Center.Standard admission rates ($3 for adults, $2 for seniors 60 and over, $1 for youth ages 4-15) will also apply. For booking and scheduling, please contact the Remington Nature Center at 816-271-5499, or email Andrea McCoy.

Monthly Scavenger Hunt
Every month, twelve items will be hidden indoors, throughout the nature center. Kids and families can do the scavenger hunt anytime during operational hours. All you have to do is inquire at the front desk and we'll give you a clipboard so you can write down where you find the items. Once they have been found, kids will get a sticker, temporary tattoo, and a special small prize. Hidden items and prizes change every month!

Recreation Education
With the Remington Nature Center and Bode Sports Complex! Let us educate and exercise your group for a day! This is the ultimate field trip for kids!
