(11/25/08) Bid Request on Emergency/Standby Power System - Sealed bids will be accepted by the purchasing agent of the city of St. Joseph for the above listed until November 25, 2008, at 2:00 pm., at which time they will be publicly opened. Copies of specifications may be obtained from the Purchasing Division, 1100 Frederick Avenue, Room 201, St. Joseph, Missouri, or by calling (816) 271-4696.

(11/20/08) Notice of Public Hearing - The Planning Commission of the city of St. Joseph will hold a public hearing on November 20, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber of City Hall for:
The application of Boehringer Ingleheim by Rich Carter, agent, for approval of a zoning district change M-2 Heavy Manufacturing District to MP-2 Planned Heavy Manufacturing District at 2621 North Belt Highway in order to develop a second entrance to their facility using the cul-de-sac at
Berkshire Drive and to prove temporary and permanent buildings to meet increases in staffing levels.
The application of Brett Halsey for approval of a zoning district change from C-3 Commercial District to M-2 Heavy Manufacturing District at 2401 Locust Street in order to remove and replace commercial tire treads.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend this meeting and be heard.
A complete legal description of the properties, along with the proposed property maps, are available for review in the Planning Division offices at City Hall, 1100 Frederick Avenue, Room 107.
(12/01/08) Notice of Public Hearing - During the meeting of the City Council of the city of St. Joseph, Missouri, to be held on December 1, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., in the council Chamber of City Hall, a public hearing will be held wherein Buchanan County will make a presentation to the Council as required on each fifth anniversary after approval of a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) plan. The TIF redevelopment plan for the North County Shoppes TIF and project was approved by the City Council on July 17, 2003. All interested parties are encouraged to attend this meeting.
(12/11/08) Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment - The St. Joseph Area Transportation Study Organization (SJATSO) will be accepting public comment on the proposed amendment to the Fiscal Year 2009 Unified Planning Work Program for the St. Joseph metropolitan area. The proposed amendment includes an additional $31,000.00 to be added to the budget for professional services. The program will be discussed as a part of the formal agenda of the SJATSO-Coordinating Committee on Thursday, December 11, at City Hall, 4th floor conference room, noon. A public hearing to receive comment will be held on the meeting date noted. Information concerning the proposed amendment will be on file for 30 days for public viewing (until November 23, 2008) during normal business hours of the city clerks office in City Hall of St. Joseph, Savannah, Wathena, Elwood, all branches of the Rolling Hills Consolidated Library system, all branches of the St. Joseph Library District, all branches of the Doniphan County Library District, MoDOT District #1 office, the Department of Public Works & Transportation, planning and road departments of Andrew, Buchanan, and Doniphan County, and the web at:
