Youth Basketball 2010-2011 Photo Presentation

Registration dates for Youth Basketball are from October 3 to November 4, 2011. The schedule pick-up dates are from November 16 thru November 20 at the Parks and Recreation office, 1920 Grand Avenue. The schedule will also be on this web page. The starting date is November 28, 2011.

Registration is by team only. Individual registration is not accepted. Included with team registration is a 7 game schedule.

Grace, speed, power . . . all of these adjectives have been used to describe the most distinguished basketball players of all time. The best players in the game did not come by this talent overnight, however. They had to develop their skills. In order to give children a chance to develop their proficiency in basketball, the St. Joseph Parks & Recreation Department and the St. Joseph School District administer a youth basketball program each autumn/winter. Regardless of whether a child is interested in competition, skill development or just playing for fun, we encourage all youth to get involved in this program. • Registration begins in mid-October
• A team registration fee is required
• 3,000 to 3,200 participants
• Teams coached by volunteers
• Teams placed in various skill level divisions
• Teams are picked, register and play for their respective schools
• Program open to all youth in the 4th through 7th grades
• Teams play seven (7) regular skill level league games
• Referees & scorekeeper provided
