On May 16, 1887, Peter Resterer was issued a City Building Permit (No. 281) to construct this residence at an estimated cost of $950.00. On May 7, 1889, Peter Resterer was issued a City Building Permit (No. A 348) to construct an addition to this residence at an estimated cost of $1,400.00. The combined cost of the residence and the addition $2,350.00 was considered a very large sum of money in the 1880s. The structure is a two-story brick residence with Italianate Style influences. The windows and doors have arched segmental lintels. The structure has a hipped roof with a protruding, gabled bay on the façade that has centered windows on both floors. This structure could be a wonderful restoration project and would be a beautiful home once finished.
