2010 will see an increased application of the department’s IRIS strategy (Informed Response through Intelligence and Statistics) that was introduced last year. The focus will be to dedicate available resources toward identified problems based on sound and current information.

Throughout the year the staff of the division will be examining existing systems and procedures in an effort to become as efficient and productive as possible while encouraging new and creative methods of problem solving to reduce criminal activity in the community. We depend upon the cooperation and assistance of the public to fulfill our mission. PATROL DUTIES
The Patrol Division is a 24 hour operation staffed by 78 commissioned officers patrolling the 432 miles of streets within the city. In addition to traditional patrol duties, the division is also responsible for:
