The School Resource Officer program, continues to be the nucleus around which most of our juvenile programs are built. It provides for education opportunities as well as consistent positive interaction with the youth of the community, educators and parents. It also affords us the ability to be aware of juvenile problems on both an individual and group basis. The SROs have become a valuable source of information to investigators, patrol personnel, educators, etc., and most of our other efforts are usually tied to this foundational program.
