What kind of staffing does the Department of Technology Services have?

The Department has five employees.
The Director has overall responsibility for department operations and oversees database administration for our Oracle and Informix applications.
The Associate Director oversees the other employees and serves as the City's webmaster.
The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the City's network and assisting the Associate Director with administration of the City's servers.
The Software Support Specialist assists users with common PC applications and implementation of more sophisticated software applications.
The Computer Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining all desktop hardware, including hardware and software upgrades and equipment replacements.

How extensive is the City's data network?
The City's network is comprised of 300 plus PCs in 28 locations. Twelve of the locations are connected by fiber; the rest by VPN connections over cable modems or wireless Internet connections. Rosecrans Airport is connected via a wireless connection through Cablevision.
