What kind of staffing does the Department of Technology Services have?

The Department has six employees.
The Director has overall responsibility for department operations and oversees database administration for our Oracle and Informix applications.
The Associate Director oversees the other employees and serves as the City's webmaster.
The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the City's network and assisting the Associate Director with administration of the City's servers.
The Software Support Specialist assists users with common PC applications and implementation of more sophisticated software applications.
The Computer Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining all desktop hardware, including hardware and software upgrades and equipment replacements.
The GIS Manager is responsible for everything related to GIS technology.

How extensive is the City's data network?
The City's network is comprised of over 400 PCs in 28 locations, with over 600 users. Twelve of the locations are connected by fiber; the rest by VPN connections over cable modems or wireless Internet connections.
