Message from Mayor

As of March 18, 2020, an amended declaration of a local state of emergency will restrict restaurants, taverns, convenience stores and retail stores from serving food or drink for on-site consumption and no more than 10 people at an event for the next 15 days. Read the full press release.

Mayor Bill McMurray has signed a Declaration of Local Emergency for the City of St. Joseph as of March 16, 2020. “Commencing immediately, all in-person gatherings of fifty people or more within the City of St. Joseph, Missouri, shall be prohibited for eight weeks, except when such gatherings occur in the day-to-day operations of organizations such as schools, institutes of higher learning, or businesses.”
