    The Small College Basketball (SCB) National Hall of Fame Classic, presented by Hillyard, will return to the St. Joseph (MO) Civic Arena on Friday and Saturday, November 1-2, while the National Hall of Fame will now take place at the Missouri Theatre in St. Joseph on Thursday, October 31 The SCB National Hall of Fame Classic, presented by Hillyard, will consist of some of the finest teams within NCAA Division II basketball, and we are pleased to announce the teams, match-ups and game times. All games will take place at the St. Joseph (MO) Civic Arena. Joyce Raye Patterson 50+ Activity Center

    November 2, 2019, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Joyce Raye Patterson 50+ Activity Center

    Put on your dancing shoes and come on over to the JRP Center, 100 S 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO and kick up your heels to live music from 7:00-10:00 pm. These dances are open to people 50 and older. Cost is $5 per person at the door. Enter through the lower level door at the center. These dances are weather dependent so if there is inclement weather, please check the centers Facebook page @jrpseniorcenter.

  1. Scout Badge Day Wonders of Weather

    November 2, 2019, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Remington Nature Center

    Head to the nature center for the Wonders of Weather event! The American Red Cross will present a program on Thunderstorms and Lightning Safety at 10:30am, 11:30am, and 1pm. You only have to attend one of the programs to earn the badge. Naturalist Shelly and volunteer Taslyn will speak about how various mammals and reptiles react during inclement weather along with meeting live educational reptiles. Make and take your own tornado as staff will have everything you need to make a twister, with a tornado tube you also get to take home! Work together to complete the indoor scavenger hunt. Find the locations of the 12 hidden items and win a prize! Matt Brooks, meteorologist with FOX 26 KNPN, will speak on weather phenomena and how to stay safe. Program times are 10:30am, 11:30am, and 1pm. You only have to attend one of the programs to earn the badge.
